Since Otakon’s done, is it time for the inevitable con depre–
I recently heard back from AUSA (after contacting them) that I don in fact have @ least 5 panels approved. Here’s the list so far:
- The Sengoku Era Is Alive With the Sound of Anime
- Timey-Wimey Anime
- How to Con: Staying in a Hotel
- Becoming a Panelist
- BlazBlue: Info. & Other Time-Paradox Buffoonery
Of course, there are still sending acceptances/rejections out, so may have some more approved. I mean, I submitted 15 panels, 5 were accepted, 1 was rejected (& the panel bro was nice enough to tell me why, which they usually don’t do), & the other 9 were wait-listed; talk about striking it rich. 2 I’ve already done before, which will lighten the load for work, but the other 3 will be brand spanking new, one of which I’ve been dying to do, that panel being ‘becoming a panelist’. Also, I love how my Sengoku Era panel has really been hitting home runs with cons lately, especially since this con’s theme is the Edo period & it’s a panel about the Sengoku period…& this is a con that takes its themes seriously >.> Whatever, I’m just happy I got a panel approved that I’m really starting to master/a panel approved at all.
All in all, super hype about this list & I’m already starting to work on drafting the sections & topics to be covered for the newer ones, & I also plan to have a return to form by doing the ‘Becoming a Panelist’ & ‘How to Con: Staying in a Hotel’ panels via Prezi.
Besides this, I here are my 2 cosplays I plan to do (one more so than the other):
I plan to keep it light this year on account of it being barely a month after Otakon & I’m still recovering from it (financially), so I’m not trying to do anything too complicated. ‘Sides, I have most of the items I would need for Arcueid’s cosplay already (I only really need a wig), so doing her costume’s a piece of cake & I’ve been planning on Vaporeon for months now & I just want to get it out of the way.
So, let me be off to finish posting con things & taking panel notes.
