AUSA 2014 Banner
Due to someone putting in a good word for me & my sheer awesomeness (>.>), was able to get a lot of panels accepted this time around (just like I wanted ~.^). Here’s the list:
- Figures to the Max!
- Yaoi & Bara Tropes & Trends 3-Bigger, Longer, Harder MOTTO!! (18+)
- Defaming the Sacred!: Critical Looks At Popular & Classic Anime
- Final Fantasy: Love It or Hate It, They Still Have All Your $$$
- Valkyria Chronicles: A Love Story, A War, & Some Snipers
- Becoming a Panelist (the name’s been changed slightly, I’ll update it when the time comes)
- Let’s Go to ‘The World’: A Panel About the .Hack Games
- Bleach : Shunpou Edition
i.e., there’s no way to avoid me *w* Also, now I need to super catch up w/ Bleach & go “back down the rabbit hole” as it were ~.~ Anyway, they’ll be sending out the panel times soon & I’m looking forward to seeing how this goes (@.@)
Also, please do this one little favor for me: don’t get pissy b/c someone else got panels accepted & you -or your friends- didn’t. Grow the f**k up -_-
I had someone comment on my FB status that, essentially, it’s unfair that I got so many panels accepted b/c their friend’s didn’t get any accepted, as if to say me having so many is the reason why they didn’t get anything accepted.
…You know, despite the fact it wasn’t even their panels but a friends, they commented on my status with this b.s. (in the most passive-aggressive way possible), the more obvious thing that if their panels didn’t suck they would have been accepted in the first place b/c AUSA’s honestly relatively easy to get panels accepted to, & the obvious thing that I’ve been doing this for several years & have that many more connections built up; i.e., no f’ing comparison, I went with the more…gracious answer that me having so many panels doesn’t effect others’ getting their panels accepted (if they were good anyway). Of course this was met with another passive-aggressive response but, hey, I’m not the idiot whisperer & you can’t fix stupid ~.~
Here’s my trinity of games that I have for the PS Vita…
PS Vita games
I really like all these games, especially Virtues Last Reward, & have been having a blast with Ragnarok Odyssey; albeit I totally need to really grind in the solo play before I start doing anything with online play.
Getting back to Virtue’s Last Reward, holy crap, this game!? This is the first type of mystery/suspense style visual novel I’ve ever played & I’m really having a blast, although these puzzles can sometimes be gawd-awful only to realize how easy it was after you finally figure it out ~.~ I definitely recommend this game to anyone who has a Vita or looking for some great games on it. Also, Dio’s a total d*uche in VLR, you’ve been warned (& my all-time fav VA no less, ambivalence).
Anyway, back to bum-rush Otakon 20 >.<

So, finally got the acceptance/rejection e-mail, & I’m definitely going to be at Katsucon this year! Although I didn’t get all of the panels I really wanted to be approved, I’m just happy I’m going at all & I still have a lot of panels to do anyway, so, yeah…>.>
So, what else does this mean?
Welp, for starters, I mostly have to revamp panels that I’ve already done vs. making ones completely from scratch, which saves me a lot of time & work. Also, means I’ll totally be cosplaying Riviera from Growlanser 2 & Irisviel von Einzbern from Fate/Zero. So, that’ll be fun -^.^-
Riviera from Growlanser 2-Complete! (Katsucon ’13)
Irisviel von Einzbern (Fate/Zero)
Lastly, here’s the official page I made with this information: click here.
But, in short, here’re my accepted panels:
- Unlimited Bleach Works (Fri., 2/15/13 from 7p-9p)
- Yaoi Tropes & Trends (Fri., 2/15/13 from 10:45p-Midnight)
- A Guide to Buying ALL THE THINGS (Sat., 2/16/13 from 6:30p-8:30p)
- Tales of Panels: A Panel About Panels (***Sun., 2/17/13 from 3a-4:30a) – working on getting this time changed
If you’re going, hope to see you at one of my panels. if not, catch you some other time!
Facebook status – 12/29/12…
Finally bought & am playing Valkyria Chronicles -^.^-
I played & beat VC 2 for the PSP, which was oodles of fun & difficult, & I finally decided (after much deliberation) that it was time to play the first game, at least to see what the differences are btwn. the console game & its handheld sequel.
This is certainly going to be an experience. I’ve only been playing for about 3+ hours total & I’m pretty much liking everything that I’m seeing. The only thing’s that’s really mind-screwing me is the slightly different controls from the PSP game to its console predecessor ~.~

F*CK. LANCER >.<*
This was the most difficult, most annoying, most “the computer is a cheating bastard” boss battle I have ever played in my entire J-RPG career -.-
Seriously right now; f*ck this game, I hate it so much DX<

I started playing this game last night, & let me tell ya’, definitely worth the wait! I’m so happy I got this over Persona 4 Arena (although I still plan to get it…someday…=.=), & I already know I’m going to be in for one epic adventure. Namely b/c it’s one of those plots where you start off with them as kids, then there’s probably going to be some time skip, & then you get to play with the characters as awesome…pre-teens, late teenagers, & 1 or 2 adults ~.~
Like how I did with fate/Extra, I’ll be documenting my experiences with this awesomeness in a thoughts/feelings style ‘notes’, which is probably how I’ll do all J-RPGs from now on. When I get a third game (coughcoughGROWLANSER4coughcough), I’ll make a separate pg. with links to all these different posts that I’ll update as need be, but still stick to doing regular blog posts vs. separating them into their own pages & sub-pages.
