In other words, the “end of the road” as far as my panel tour is concerned. Here’s a description of the con as taken from their home page:
Otakon is the convention of the otaku generation: by fans, for fans; and we’ll be back for our 20th Otakon onAugust 9-11, 2013.
Ever since 1999, we’ve taken over a sizable chunk of Baltimore’s Inner Harbor for a 3-day festival celebrating the pop culture that’s brought us everything fromAstroboy to Yu-Gi-Oh, from Seven Samurai to Spirited Away.
Join thousands of your fellow fans as we descend on Baltimore to celebrate music, anime, manga, and all other facets of Asian pop culture!
We can’t wait to see you there!”
Panels I will be hosting:
- The Sengoku Era, Anime, & You – (TBA)
- Lewis Carroll’s “Alice in Wonderland’s” Effect on Anime – (TBA)
Panels submitted that weren’t accepted:
As stated in a previous post, I submitted 22 with only 2 accepted. To name all of them would be an annoying task. If I get enough complaining I’ll do it; otherwise, 20 were rejected with topics all over the place, since I’m the versatile type.
